‘City Centre’ Project case study
There is no bigger challenge than a bustling city centre
We were asked ‘Are you ready to work within a prestigious city centre square?’
Our response was was ‘Of Course!’
There was no doubt that this project was going to be a challenge…
Before OBP could commence works we had a pedestrianised square to the front, a road closure to the rear, another major project scheme to the side, 10 roofs, a grade listed atrium and multiple facades to refurbish.
No problem, we said. Let’s get to work!
Works completed:
Structural engineer & design for scaffolding - to construct a scaffold suitable to access all elevations of the atrium for repairs and refurbishment
Access & fall protection strategy for future access to roof areas, including new fixed handrails, counter balance and access ladders.
Roof strip - new felt, battons, slate, ridges and gutters repaired using liquid waterproofing and lead sympathetic to original installation. Chimney ventilation and flaunching.
Decorations to front elevation and new windows to rear.
