‘Strip out and roof refurbishment’ Project Case Study

This project had a bit of everything…

Our first task was to ‘fix the leaking roof’ so when our survey found that there were multiple leaks we decided to bring to site a specialist manufacturer to specify a cold applied liquid waterproofing product that would allow us to resolve the issues with leaking gutters, flashings and cut edge corrosion, whilst also offering a 25 year warranty and extending the life span of the metal roof, to meet our clients expectations.

Our Second task was a little more complex, rather than our usual work of installing we were asked to strip, remove and decommission everything within the existing retail unit. This was not as straight forward as it sounds…

Within the works package was 1no. passenger lift, 1no. goods lift and a 720sqm steel frame mezzanine floor. This required additional support from our supply chain of specialist partners who are capable of such works.

With a programme duration of 8 week’s we engaged our CDM coordinator to ensure we had a safe system of work in place before putting our team to work safely.

The results were impressive, we finished ahead of schedule and snag free. The new tenant was ready to collect the keys and commence their own fit out. OBP had delivered exactly to their requirements.
